John studied architecture at Washington University in St. Louis and the Southern California Institute of Architecture receiving his Master of Architecture degree from SCI-Arc in 2003. He taught for 8 years at Westwood College's Institute of Design in Torrance, CA, and was Program Chair of Computer Aided Drafting, Interior Design and Construction Management for 5 of those years. He currently teaches a course on the California portion of the architect's licensing exam.
Prior to launching Musolino Architecture, John worked at several architecture firms in Washington DC, where he designed award winning projects, including a restaurant awarded the IIDA gold medal for interiors. He was also responsible for a retail roll-out for Sprint PCS of over 20 stores, including a flagship store just off of Times Square in Manhattan. John helped develop a new retail concept for Sprint and oversaw construction on the prototype stores. He has worked on projects in the Pentagon building, the Smithsonian Institute, Dulles Airport, and the Illinois State Capitol
He lives in Redondo Beach with his wife Michelle, daughter Natalie and pooch Luna.
